PL794 was one of the three Spitfires PR Mk. XI in service with the Royal Danish Air Force. All three were acquired as ex-RAF machines in August-Septemer 1947. PL794 was actually the first Spitfire to arrive in Denmark on 29 August 1947, thus becoming also the first aircraft of the post-war RDAF. It subsequently served with 2. LF, 4. ESK and finally ESK 722. All Danish PR Mk. XIs were struck off charge in June 1955 and scrapped. [Danmarks Flymuseum]
