Shown in this painting by Australian aviation artist Troy White are the Spitfires Mk. VB of No. 121 RAF Eagle Squadron in action over Dieppe on 19th August 1942. The Dieppe operation was the scene of the largest fighter-vs-fighter battle of the War. Also, it was the first and only action in which all three American volunteer Squadrons, Nos. 71, 121 and 133, operated together.
