Another evocative pencil drawing by Pavel Rampír, Czech aviation artist and an illustrator of the Revi aviation journal. Presented here is a pair of Spitfires Mk. XIV of No. 350 (Belgian) Squadron in flight over Holland towards the end of the War.
No. 350 Squadron was a Royal Air Force squadron formed by Belgian person in the United Kingdom. In 1944, the squadron moved several times around southern England, in 1944 it provided beach-head patrols during the invasion. In August 1944 the Squadron converted to Spitfires Mk. XIV and commenced operations against the V-1 rockets attacking England. The squadron moved to Belgium in December 1944 to provide offensive patrols over the battlefield.
