Here is my Spitfire Mk. Vb model, depicting BP955 J-1, an aircraft flown by Dennis Barnham, Luqa, Malta, April 1942.
The base is made from actual Takali airfield earth that I brought back from holiday in Malta. I wanted to make a kind of makeshift landing/maintenence area but not sure if it worked.
The model is built from Tamiya 1/48 kit with lots of extra bits.

excellent dio, like the use of the real airfield, its something i do and adds a real nostalgic aurora to the peice
