Here is my 1/48 model of Spitfire LF Mk. VIII in SEAC markings. This machine is MD280 DG*R of No. 155 Squadron, painted in Dark Earth/Dark Green over Medium Sea Grey camouflage. This aircraft was primarily used for ground attack duties and belly-landed out of fuel on ground attack mission Singaling Khampti on 27 August 1944, sustaining damage beyond repair.

DG R was not one of the planes that went down in Singaling Khampti on 27 August 1944. The four planes were DG G, DG E, DG P and DG W. I can verify this information.
