As with almost every Seafire model I see on the internet, the nose seems to be too long. In this case possibly because a Spitfire XIV (or similar) kit is used as basis. On every photo I know of real Seafire XV’s the last two exhausts are over the wing. This is because these Seafires with the Griffon engine had a smaller, shorter, (one-stage) supercharger behind the engine (geared for low-altitude operation) just as the Merlin Seafires had. This too long nose is also a common fault in Seafire III kit conversions, when a Spitfire IX kit is used.

Add: After sending the above I saw your Brigade models kit XV, which has the correct nose length. The pictures are great by the way.

Thanks for the comments, but I’m a bit puzzled by those about the Ventura kit. It’s exactly the same length as the Brigade Models kit!

You must be right. There seems to be a difference in exhaust placement though. I guess I got confused by the different viewpoints.
