Looking aft across the pilot’s left shoulder, we find a medical kit. Again, this area is markedly different from the fighter model which featured a cockpit entry door in the same location.

Note that the crowbar (painted red) is still there. Its purpose was to enable the pilot to force open a jammed canopy up or crush the perspex if trapped inside the cockpit.

The valve is another element of the cockpit pressurisation system.
