View along the nicely flush-riveted surface of the upper wing towards the undercarriage indicator. This was a simple rod inked mechanically with the undercarriage retraction gear. As the wheels lowered, the yellow-painted rod elevated above the surface of the wing, indicating to the pilot that the undercarriage was down and locked.
Are there more pictures available of the precise location for this pin? Am building a Mk. XIV and would like to get this detail right even if that means it will be extremely small due to it’s 1/72 scale.
